Obituary
Betty Jean Grider, age 79, of Tompkinsville passed away on Friday, November 13, 2020, at The Medical Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky. She was born on December 15, 1940, the daughter of the late Delbert Eugene and Mamie Jewell (Hargis) Bean. Betty was united in marriage to Edward Grider, who preceded her in death on May 29, 1997. She loved to sew, craft, garden, and can.
She is survived by a special companion, Clifford “Click” Murray of Tompkinsville, Kentucky; two daughters, Shelia Turner (Maxie) of Tompkinsville Kentucky, and Danetta Cloyd (Hollis) of Hampshire, Tennessee; one son, Jeffrey Lee Grider of Tompkinsville; four brothers, Tommy Bean of Indiana, Steve Bean, of Fountain Run, Kentucky, Jimmy Bean (Wanda) of Hampshire, Tennessee and Bobby Bean of Hohenwald, Tennessee; one sister, Iva Mae Burrus of Tompkinsville, Kentucky.
In addition to her parents and spouse, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Lisa Short; one brother, Billy Joe Bean.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm at Anderson-Bartley Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Beautiful Home Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, November 16, 2020, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday morning after 6:00 a.m. until time for the service at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the funeral home to assist the family with final expenses.
