Obituary Bazz Kirk Baxter, age 77 of Monroe County passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2020, at The Monroe County Medical Center. He was born on August 25, 1943, the son of the late Bazz Hamilton and Della Kirk (Harlan) Baxter. He was united in marriage in 1962 to Emma Jean (Scott) Baxter. Kirk retired from the Kentucky Department of Transportation and enjoyed farming, logging, riding motorcycles, and horses. He was an avid hunter, but more than any of his hobbies Kirk enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Emma Jean (Scott) Baxter of Tompkinsville; one daughter, Amy Hale and husband Stevie of Tompkinsville; one sister, Lorretta Lyons of Tompkinsville; one brother, Wayne Baxter of Campbellsville; three grandchildren, Jordan Hale and Cecilea, Jacob Hale and wife Brittany and Jessalyn Graves and husband Chris all of Tompkinsville; two great-grandchildren, Brance Wilson and Bostyn Graves of Tompkinsville; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends also survive. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Warner Baxter; one niece, Kela Lyons Fee; one great-nephew, Brandon Hume. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at 12:00 noon at Anderson-Bartley Funeral Home Chapel in Tompkinsville, with burial in The Baxter Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2020, after 4:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday morning from 8:00 until time for the service at 12:00. Alternate expressions of sympathy may be made to The Baxter Cemetery in memory of Mr. Bazz Kirk Baxter. These contributions may be made at the funeral home.
