Arthur Harold England, age 84, of Gamaliel, Kentucky, passed from this life on August 22, 2021, at his residence. He was born February 1, 1937, the son of the late Paul (Pete) and Hazel (Wilson) England. Harold enlisted in the United States Army in 1954 and proudly served 10 years for his country. He retired from United Catalysts at the age of 62. He was of the Christian faith, and a member of the Gamaliel Baptist Church. He married Hope (Turner) England on June 3, 1972. Hope was the love of his life and a caring companion, caregiver, and helpmate for 50 years. He never forgot her name. Harold always enjoyed family, friends, and life. He lived his life to the fullest.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Hope (Turner) England; three daughters, Ginger Alvey, Krystal England, and Cherie England; four grandchildren, Chase Alvey, Jeffrey and Jayda Cotton, and Nicholas Woodard; two brothers, Steve and Gary England; one sister, Carol Taylor also survive.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Louise Dehart and Cathy England.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Thursday, August 26, 2021, at Bartley & Sons Gamaliel Chapel with burial in Neal Cemetery. Bro. Danny Pace will officiate the service.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 26, 2021, from 10:00 am until the time for the service at 2:00 pm.
